CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE

Golf Digest Top 100 Golf Course

Renowned golf course architect, Tom Fazio, masterfully designed what is often referred to as the "Golfer's Golf Course."

By harnessing the unique elevations offered by the site, Tom Fazio created three very distinct playing areas. Golfers playing the course will encounter a gradual ascent of more than 300 feet as they experience the many captivating details of The Quarry at La Quinta. These elements include a lush scenery of indigenous plants, an abandoned western mine and a number of bronze statues depicting the early days of the wild west. It’s a harmonious union of golf and nature. It’s an example of how Fazio uses existing conditions to create interest, yet maintains playability for golfers of different ability levels. He also left the greens open in the back, another great example of designing a playable golf course. Fazio does not like to penalize a bold shot too severely.

The 18-hole Quarry Championship course features 7,083 yards from the longest tees for a par of 72. Members and Guests can enjoy one of five different tee combinations for Men and three different tee combinations for Ladies.
